Natural antibiotics

Nowadays, antibiotics are considered a cure for almost any ailment. It is often taken without need because most of the body’s ailments can be cured by natural methods without a negative effect on our microbiome. Antibiotics found in nature


People have been using garlic for over 5,000 years. It is much stronger than penicillin. The pyramid builders used it to heal and protect against dysentery. Doctors on the front of the First and Second World Wars used it to disinfect wounds. 

When garlic is crushed, the sulfur alliin in garlic is converted into allicin – an intensely fragrant, bactericidal compound formed as a result of the breakdown of sulfur derivatives. Allicin has a very strong antibiotic effect, which makes garlic as effective as pharmaceuticals in treating respiratory infections.



Onion has the same volatile compounds as garlic, which helps it to fight bacteria. These compounds are released when we cut, slice or crush the vegetable and break down sulfur derivatives. Non-volatile compounds found in the onion flesh also support the fight against bacteria.

Onion is number one in the treatment of gastrointestinal infections and upper respiratory tract infections. When an antibiotic cannot cope with these infections, onion can easily overcome it by stopping the growth of bacteria and decreasing mucus production, both of which are extremely beneficial for fighting the infection.


Echinacea (purple coneflower)

Echinacea has antibacterial properties. Products containing this fruit have a positive effect on the body’s immunity because of its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and also help fight against viruses and fungi.

While echinacea contains many medicinal substances,  the polysaccharides and isobutylamides in echinacea have the strongest immunostimulatory effect.



Ginger is an exotic plant that works well in the case of bacterial infections of the digestive system, even in the case of dangerous food poisoning caused by harmful pathogens such as salmonella or listeria. Ginger is added to dishes containing raw fish and seafood because eating ginger together with raw fish minimizes the chance of food poisoning. Ginger should not be given to children under two years of age.


Natural honey

Honey is like a small medicine cabinet with a wide spectrum of uses. 

It can be used to fight:

– staph bacteria,

– Streptococcus,

– anthrax bacilli,

– trichomonas vaginalis, 

– tuberculosis bacilli,

– and pathogenic fungi of the genus Candida.

Every natural honey from a real apiary (which is located at an altitude of at least 1,000 meters above sea level and contains the most inhibin, which is responsible for the destruction of bacteria) has an antibacterial effect. However, the best type of honey is honeydew honey, especially those from conifers, limes, and buckwheat.


Oregano oil

Carvacrol and other substances found in lower concentrations in oregano can be considered the true richness of nature. The potency of oregano oil is comparable to penicillin, vancomycin, or streptomycin.

Oregano oil offers an excellent method to fight fungi such as Candida albicans, which cause mycosis and are very complicated to treat. It is also effective in the fight against bacteria and staphylococcus aureus.

The oil can be used in doses of ten drops, three times a day. Manufacturers recommend not to exceed this dose.



Horseradish has bactericidal, virucidal, and fungicidal properties. It has been used for a long time in many countries around the world. It offers soothing and healing for many ailments such as:

– respiratory tract infections (can be given in the form of syrup to act as an expectorant),

– when disinfecting the upper respiratory tract,

– and bronchitis.



Cranberry is commonly associated with urinary tract infections, which are most often caused by E. coli bacteria. It helps flush out the bacteria that accumulate in the urinary tract,  which shortens the treatment process and stops the spread of infection. In addition, cranberry also protects the stomach from the appearance of stomach ulcers.



The bark of the Lapacho tree has antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties. It is mainly used to treat Helicobacter pylori, most often in the form of an infusion prepared from dried lapacho bark. Although it has therapeutic effects, lapacho is not recommended for pregnant women, breastfeeding women, young children, and people on anticoagulants.


Grapefruit seed extract

Grapefruit seed extract is rich in vitamin C and bioflavonoids and has a wide range of benefits. It has been used for many years to treat various diseases:

– gastrointestinal diseases,

– stomach ulcers and inflammation of the mucous membrane,

– respiratory tract infections,

– oral diseases,

– and skin diseases (including onychomycosis).

When regularly used, grapefruit seed extract supports the immune system and makes the body healthy. The dosage of grapefruit seed extract has to be very specific.
